| Data has been collected for 331 villages in the county; towns and a number of the larger settlements have been excluded from the survey. For the purposes of the rural facilities survey, a village is defined as a settlement that contains a church or chapel or has a resident population of over 40 people. Population in this instance has been calculated by using patient register data within the settlement catchment. NB: All possible care has been taken to ensure that the data captured is as accurate as possible. However field surveys have not been undertaken for every village in the county and 100% accuracy cannot be guaranteed. | ||
